Fat Freezing

There is a lot of interest around this popular treatment which is best for stubborn pockets and body sculpting. The treatment takes around an hour and you can choose to have two cups at the same time. Fat Freezing, known as Cryofreeze is a unique and non-invasive treatment using a combination of electro and Cryo therapy. Using the 3D-cryofreeze handpiece, this creates a vacuum which draws the fat into the handpiece. This localised area within the handpiece is then frozen to -6 degrees (about the temperature of your freezer) causing 20-40% of the fat cells, sucked in the cup area to die over the following weeks.

How It Works

The treatment specifically targets the content of fat cells and by lowering the temperature to minus 6 degrees, it causes them to crystalize. No other structures are affected by this process. The content of the at cells are the disposed of naturally through the body’s lymphatic system.

FAQs

The treatment is best for targeting those stubborn areas that wont shift. Typical areas are lower and upper tummy (muffin top), inner thighs, love handles and chin. Your therapist will discuss a bespoke course of treatment for you which may include combining the cryofreeze with other treatments.

Only one treatment is required per area.

On average you will see a 20-40% reduction in fat in the localised area. As the body takes several months to flush out the dead fat cells, results will be visible after approximately 6-12 weeks.

The 3D cryofreeze is a one-off treatment, and once an area is treated if cannot be treated again with cryofreeze for at least three months, however it can be devised as part of your course of treatments and your therapist will discuss this with you.

Firstly, an anti-freeze membrane is placed on to the area being treated to protect the skin. The cup is placed on and the fat is the fat is drawn into the suction cup before freezing. This will provide a slight pulling sensation and the area will be cold. Within a few minutes the area will go numb. The handpiece will sit on the area for 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
