Fillers For The Lips and Face

If you have thin lips, deep wrinkles, or a facial scar than fillers may be the perfect solution for you. Known also as dermal fillers, this is an injection of a natural gel which will both smooth out wrinkles or add volume and the effect should last around 4-5 months. The gel used is a naturally occurring hyaluronic acid gel that is injected directly into the targeted area, and unlike Botox © that relaxes the muscle under the wrinkle, they will instead fill the line, crease or area, which can make trouble spots almost completely disappear.

For a natural look, the bottom lip should be a third larger than the top and if you are seeking a very unnaturally plumped result then we are not the practitioner for you. We believe in enhancing the natural shape of the lip which means working around the edge of the lip lines, known as the vermillion border. This enhances the natural cupids bow by turning the top lip up and out, turning up the marionette lines, which are the sadness lines that turn your mouth down at the corners, and can also plump out the lines often associated with smoking or too much drinking through a straw.

When to comes to making the decision about having fillers in your lips, we strongly suggest that you take it slow and start with half a syringe and return a couple of weeks later for a top up, should you decide that it’s not enough. However, if you are not happy with the outcome or shape, the good news is that the procedure can be largely reversed, and this is done by injecting an enzyme that will speed up the degradation of the hyaluronic acid quickly and safely.

You will be invited to attend a consultation with the technician before the procedure and the cost for this is £25 which is payable in advance and is non-refundable. If you then choose to go ahead with the procedure, this will be discounted from the cost of the treatment. We do offer additional and follow up treatments at a reduced price to ensure your satisfaction.

Target Areas

Smile Lines (nasolabial lines)

These are the often deep lines that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth.

Marionette lines

If you feel that your face looks sadder or angrier than it used to, it’s likely because of something called marionette lines. These are the vertical wrinkles that can be found at the corners of your mouth. These lines can give the face a downturned expression and make you look unhappy even when you are relaxed.

Vertical lip lines

Wrinkles around the top and bottom of the lips are mostly caused by the regular lip movements and are unavoidable with age. They are commonly referred to as smokers lines, because regular smoking can really accentuate this.

Fine lines, folds and wrinkles

Fillers increase volume, and fill in fine lines and wrinkles using Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is produced naturally by the body throughout life and can be found in the connective tissues. Considered to be ‘nature’s moisturizer’ Hyaluronic acid serves many beneficial purposes. When injected, fillers completely fill the dermal area, resulting in a natural looking effect and a smooth transition between the treated area and the untreated area.

Before & After

The Injectable filler gel adds volume to the skin, plumping it out and giving the appearance of a smoother surface. The filler smoothes moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This treatment is generally used on the lower face for lines around the nose and mouth and lines around the lips (often called ‘smoker’s lines’). It can also be used to improve the appearance of scars or dents on the face.*

Your practitioner will inject small quantities of filler into the areas where you have lines/wrinkles or indents. It should take approximately 20 minutes and the effects are instant.*

Smoothes out lines and wrinkles, producing an instant effect that will leave your face feeling younger and fresher and looking more youthful than ever before. Most patients need one treatment and the results last about 9 months to 1 year.*

Dermal fillers can reduce the visibility of wrinkles, creases and lines around the following areas:

  • Forehead
  • Nose
  • Mouth
  • Cheeks

Yes, as long as they are administered by a medical professional. The hyaluronic gel is completely natural, and over time, the filler will slowly dissolve, causing no harm to you.

Most side effects are mild and temporary e.g. redness, pain, swelling.

You should not have fillers if you have severe allergies, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
