Fat Freezing (Cryolipolysis)

Our Fat Freezing treatment, or Cryolipolysis, is a non-invasive, non-surgical fat reduction procedure that is best for stubborn pockets and body sculpting. It uses cold temperatures to reduce localised fat deposits or bulges that do not respond to diet or exercise. The treatment takes around an hour, and you can choose to have two cups at the same time.

How It Works

The 3D-cryofreeze vacuum draws the targeted pocket of fat towards the handpiece. The plates inside the head of the handpiece freezes the areas down from 0°C to -6°C. This causes the fat cells to crystalise and die, as they are more vulnerable to the cold temperatures, while the surrounding tissues are left unharmed. Over the following weeks, 20-40% of the fat cells in the treated area will die naturally and will be disposed naturally via the body’s lymphatic system.

FAQs

The treatment is best for targeting those stubborn areas that won’t shift.

The areas that can be improved with this treatment:

  • Chin
  • Arms
  • Abdomen
  • Hips
  • Thighs
  • Lower buttocks

Your therapist will discuss a bespoke course of treatment for you during your consultation, which may also include combining fat freezing with other treatments.

One treatment lasts around 60 minutes, depending on the size of the head used and how many areas are being treated. Only one treatment is required per area, however if other alternative treatments, such as cavitation or Em Sculpt, can be discussed during your consultation to supplement and improve your results.

As the body takes several months to flush out the dead fat cells, results will be visible after approximately 6-12 weeks. On average, you will see a 20-40% fat reduction in the localised area.

The 3D cryofreeze is a one-off treatment, and once an area is treated if cannot be treated again with cryofreeze for at least three months, however it can be devised as part of your course of treatments. Your therapist will discuss this with you during your consultation.

Firstly, an anti-freeze membrane is placed on to the area being treated to protect the skin. The cup is placed on a specific target area of fat,  which causes the fat to be drawn into the suction cup to undergo the cryofreeze therapy. You will feel a slight pulling sensation and the area will be cold. Within a few minutes the area will go numb. The handpiece will sit on the area throughout the treatment duration.
